[Problem] To provide a loincloth that prevents an apron from bending backward or falling out and does not easily slip out of place, a method for taking measurements of same, and a loincloth-type storage bag focused on appeal when the bag is opened. [Solution] A loincloth (1) is flat and T shaped, and comprises a waist strap (11) and a belt-shaped cloth (12). The belt-shaped cloth (12) comprises a body part (14) extending from a suture part (13) with the waist strap to an other end midway in the longitudinal direction, and an apron part (15) extending from the other end midway to the other end in the longitudinal direction. An overlapping part (16) where the body part (14) and the apron part overlap is sutured in the horizontal direction and left open in the vertical direction. A difference in level is formed in the overlapping part (16) as a result of a plurality of sheets of plain cloth overlapping. By securing the waist strap (11) utilizing this difference in level or putting the waist strap (11) through the open area of the overlapping part (16) and tying up, it is possible to prevent the body part (14) and the apron part (13) slipping out of place.
