Provided are a method for generating a navigation map according to a travel guide and a route planning system, the method comprising: recording a travel guide (S100); parsing names of places in the travel guide (S101); and automatically establishing a route map according to the place names in the travel guide (S102). By virtue of the method, place names in a travel guide are parsed, and a tour route map is automatically generated in a navigation map according to the place names, making it easier and quicker for the user to make travel plans.
