A method for sending data about air purification technology, comprising: recording information of an air quality index set by a user and information of the current air quality index (S101); determining whether the current air quality index is lower than the air quality index set by the user (S103); if not, determining that the air quality requirement of the user is satisfied, and not starting an air purification device (S104); and if yes, determining that the air quality does not satisfy the requirement of the user, starting the air purification device, and sending technology usage data to a data acquisition end preset by the manufacturer (S105). Also disclosed is a smart air purification system.
