An evaluation index obtaining method and device. The method comprises: inputting samples to a classification model for classification training, and obtaining output data of the classification model (101); collecting probability distribution statistics about the output data to obtain a probability statistics result, wherein the probability statistics result comprises probability intervals as well as the actual number of positive samples and the actual number of negative samples in each probability interval (102); and calculating evaluation indexes of the classification model according to a threshold set and the probability statistics result (103). By collecting probability statistics about the output data of the classification model, and calculating the evaluation indexes on the basis of the obtained probability statistics result, the method and device resolve the problem of repeatedly scanning output data during a calculation process of evaluation indexes, and can improve the calculation efficiency of the evaluation indexes when the output data is large-scale data.
