USE OF A BIO-COMPATIBLE COBALT BASE ALLOY, FOR PRECIPITATION HARDENING OR SOLIDIFYING VIA MIXED CRYSTAL FORMATION, AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF IMPLANTS OR PROSTHETICS VIA MATERIAL-REMOVING MACHINING
The invention demonstrates the possibilities permitting a simplified production of implants or prosthetics, in particular dental implants or prosthetics, using subtractive methods. For this purpose, the invention relates to the use of a bio-compatible cobalt base alloy, for precipitation hardening or solidifying via mixed crystal formation, for the production of blanks. Blanks of this type are provided in a soft state in the course of the method according to the invention. Subsequently, the respective component (implant or prosthetic) is produced from the soft blank via material-removing machining. Finally, a heat treatment of the implant or prosthetic is then carried out in order to set the hardness thereof via precipitation hardening or mixed crystal formation.
