METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SCANNING AND ESTIMATING MOISTURE IN SOIL

An apparatus and a method for scanning and estimating moisture in a predefined area of soil comprising a reflector for reflecting signals irrelevant for scanning the moisture in the predefined area of soil and an energy absorber unit for scanning the soil moisture signals which are collected from the GNSS. The apparatus further includes a processing unit for estimating the moisture in the predefined area of soil based on the collected signals. The processing unit receives signals collected by the energy absorberunit. The data based on the received signal is stored in a memory unit of the processing unit. Thereafter, the moisture in the predefined area of the soil is estimated based on the stored data.
