A non-metallic expansion joint, comprising: a framework which uses channel-section steel as raw material, and covering skin which is composed of 4-14 layers of fabric and fixed to the channel-section steel by means of press plates and screws; the covering skin comprises one or more layers of the following material layers: 1) a stainless steel mesh layer; 2) one or more layers of alkali-free glass fiber fabric; 3) one or more layers of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film; 4) one or more layers of alkali-free glass fiber fabric; 5) one or more layers of composite silicone rubber and alkali-free glass fiber fabric; 6) one or more layers of ultra-fine alkali-free glass fiber fabric; 7) one or more layers of thermal-insulating fabric; 8) one or more layers of fireproof fabric; 9) one or more layers of ceramic fiber fabric, said respective layers are stitched together using a wrapping fabric. The non-metallic expansion joint is wear-resistant and has a long service life.
