The application relates to a smell generator apparatus based on a smart mobile terminal. The smell generator apparatus based on a smart mobile terminal comprises: a communication module, for establishing a communication connection to the smart mobile terminal, and obtaining electronic smell information from the smart mobile terminal; a data processing chip, connected to the communication module and used for analyzing the received electronic smell information and generating a corresponding smell generation instruction according to decoded data; and a smell generator, connected to the data processing chip and used for generating a corresponding smell according to the smell generation instruction and releasing the smell. The application further provides a smell generation method based on a smart mobile terminal. The smell generation method based on a smart mobile terminal comprises: a step of obtaining electronic smell information; a step of analyzing the electronic smell information; and a step of recreating a smell. According to the application, the smell generator apparatus is connected to a smart mobile terminal, obtains electronic smell information from the smart mobile terminal, analyzes the electronic smell information, and finally recreates and releases a corresponding smell, greatly improving user experience.
