Disclosed are a method for remotely controlling a connection to an access point, and a home device in which the method for remotely controlling a connection to an access point is implemented, wherein connection establishment between a wireless communication-enabled device, such as a household boiler, and an access point is remotely controlled such that a remotely controlled device can perform connection attempts for only access points existing within a connectivity range. The home device in which the method for remotely controlling a connection to an access point is implemented according to an aspect comprises: a Wi-Fi interface unit for transmitting and receiving data to/from an access point and smart devices on the basis of Wi-Fi communication; a virtual AP driving unit for implementing an access point function to enable a smart device to perform a connection through the Wi-Fi interface unit; an AP scan unit for collecting information on access points existing within a connectivity range within which a connection through the Wi-Fi interface unit is possible; an AP list generation unit for generating a list of the access points on the basis of the collected information on the access points; a memory unit for storing a program required for operations, such as software or firmware, and data and unique codes generated while the program is executed; and a control unit for controlling general operations required to implement the method for remotely controlling a connection to an access point.
