The UWB (Ultra Wide band) antenna for satellite televisions, mainly in the X band, is supplied with power via a slot in the ground plane. The invention relates to an original rectangular antenna with rectangular substrates and two rectangular patches. This is an electromagnetic transceiver device radiating in UWB using an SMA connector, providing improved gain, a wide bandwidth, a reduced size of 21.25 mm x 22.25 mm, and a good adaptation to the X-band frequency with low production costs. It consists of a single rectangular patch connected to the output by an SMA connector. The antenna is supplied with power via electromagnetic coupling. The power-supply point is coupled to an SMA connector (figure 7) inserted in the microstrip line for subsequently enhancing gain, directivity and bandwidth. The device according to the invention is particularly suited to be used for satellite televisions operating in the X band.
