The present invention provides a molecular marker for diagnosing Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. The molecular marker is selected from: an RNA represented by SEQ ID NO. 1-28 or a combination of two or more thereof; an RNA having a sequence identical or at least 50% identical to any fragment of the RNA represented by SEQ ID NO. 1-28; or a synthetic, assembled, recombinant or cloned RNA having at least 50% sequence similarity to any fragment or full length of the RNA represented by SEQ ID NO. 1-28. The present invention also provides a specific primer pair for the molecular marker, and uses of the molecular marker and the specific primer pair of the invention for preparing a reagent for diagnosing a Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection.
