A resonant element for a frequency selective plate is provided with poles (11)-(13) respectively having roots (11a)-(13a) connected to a central part (10) and leading ends (11b)-(13b) extending in different directions from each other on the same flat surface or the same curved surface, and is configured such that among pole widths each being the length of a line segment in a direction perpendicular to a line segment connecting the root (11a)-(13a) and the leading end (11b)-(13b) on the same flat surface or the same curved surface in the pole (11)-(13), a pole width at the root (11a)-(13a) is narrower than pole widths between the root (11a)-(13a) and the leading end (11b)-(13b).
