METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TRANSFERRING MEMORY SIZE PARAMETER TO LINUX KERNEL

A method and system for transferring a memory size parameter to a Linux kernel. The method comprises: according to a CPU platform, statically setting a supportable maximum memory and a minimum memory (S1); statically configuring a bootargs environment variable (S2); during the operation of a U-Boot bootstrap program, performing dynamic measurement by using the maximum memory and the minimum memory as parameters to obtain a dynamic memory size parameter (S3); and according to the dynamic memory size parameter obtained by the dynamic measurement, dynamically regenerating a bootargs environment variable (S4). The method can reduce the occurrence of troublesome maintenance and error-prone situations.
