METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EXTENDING LINK BETWEEN MASTER CONTROLS OF DUAL-MASTER-CONTROL DEVICE

Disclosed are a method and apparatus for extending a link between master controls of a dual-master-control device. The dual-master-control device comprises a primary master control, a standby master control and a line card. The method comprises: during the use of a direct connection link between a primary master control and a standby master control to perform data synchronization, choosing one line card as a proxy switching line card for data synchronization; detecting the direct connection link between the primary master control and the standby master control; and when the direct connection link is detected to be abnormal, disabling the direct connection link, and by means of the proxy switching line card, realizing data synchronization between the primary master control and the standby master control.
