The present invention addresses the problem of providing a crystalline silica particle material having a different composition than the prior art, a method for manufacturing the same, and a crystalline-silica-particle-material-containing resin composition containing the crystalline silica particle material. The present invention contains at least 1 ppm of zinc, has a volume-average particle diameter of 200 µm or less, and has crystalline silica as the main component thereof. Despite containing zinc, this crystalline silica particle material as a whole is capable of exhibiting the properties of silica, and can be used in applications of a conventional particle material comprising crystalline silica. Zinc contained at the surface may also be utilized to impart catalytic activity.
