Disclosed is an externally mounted touch display apparatus having pressure-sensing touch-control functionality, comprising a capacitive touchscreen and display module in a stacked arrangement; said capacitive touchscreen is used for sensing a touch signal; said display module comprises a display panel and a backlight module and middle frame, arranged opposite to each other; said display panel is provided with a plurality of electrically conductive structure layers; one of said plurality of electrically conductive structure layers is used as a first capacitive sensing electrode; the middle-frame side facing the backlight module is also provided with a second capacitive sensing electrode; there is a gap between said second capacitive sensing electrode and the backlight module; the first capacitive sensing electrode and the second capacitive sensing electrode constitute a capacitive sensing mechanism, used for sensing a pressure signal applied to said capacitive touchscreen. The externally mounted touch display apparatus provided by the present invention employs a simple structure to implement a pressure-sensing touch-control function on a touch display apparatus, reducing costs.
