TRANSACTION RECOVERY METHOD IN DATABASE SYSTEM AND DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

A transaction recovery method in a database system and a database management system. A storage device of the database system supports a copy-on-write mode. The method comprises: determining a transaction to be recovered in a database system, wherein the transaction to be recovered is not submitted, and the transaction to be recovered performs an update operation on data in the database system; acquiring, from an update operation log for recording the case where the transaction to be recovered performs the update operation on the data, a physical address of an old value of the data in a storage device, wherein the old value is a value before the update operation; and replacing a physical address of a new value of the data with the physical address of the old value, and setting the physical address of the new value to be invalid, such that a logic address of the data points to the physical address of the old value, wherein the new value is a value after the update operation. Compared with the traditional technology, the method can effectively reduce a write operation when a transaction is recovered, so as to reduce an erasing operation of a storage device. Thus, the service life of the storage device can be prolonged.
