The present invention relates to a device capable of reducing energy waste by utilizing the waste heat of condensate water used by a steam system in an offshore facility for a hot potable water system and a method thereof. By utilizing the waste heat of condensate water used by a steam system in an offshore facility for a hot potable water system through heat exchange, the present invention does not require additional facilities or energy for cooling the condensate water and can reduce energy necessary for heating potable water.
