摘要
Embodiments in accordance with the present invention provide a method for non-invasively determining the functional severity of arterial stenosis in selected portions of an arterial network. The method includes collecting patient-specific data related to the concentration of the contrast agent in the arterial network using a coronary computed tomography angiography scan (CCTA). Data can be collected under rest or stress conditions. Estimation of the loss factor (K) can be used to eliminate the need for tens of data under stress. The data is used to calculate the translational attenuation gradient (TAG). The data can be modified for imaging of artifacts in any analysis stage. TAFE can be used to determine the estimate of the flow rate. Once the velocity is determined, the pressure gradient, coronary blood reserve and / or fractionated blood reserve can be determined through a variety of methods. These estimates can be used to estimate the functional severity of stenosis.
