The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating muscle atrophy comprising a culture medium of stem cells derived from mammal umbilical cords. When administering the culture medium of stem cells derived from umbilical cords into the muscle, the administered stem cells proliferate the muscular cells at the administration site, increase the amount of muscle, restore muscular fatigue rapidly, and thus are effective for preventing or treating muscle atrophy. Since the pharmaceutical composition according to the present invention uses a culture medium of stem cells, it can overcome technological and practical limitations of therapies using stem cells and has an advantage of easy availability, and thus is significantly effective for preventing and treating muscle atrophy.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
