The present invention relates to a method for providing information about a traditional market by using augmented reality, and more particularly to a method for providing information about a traditional market by using augmented reality, in which print information image can be generated by photographing a traditional market guidance print, including a marker point printed thereon in advance, via a smartphone, in which the marker point can be accurately recognized by using the print information image, and in which the smartphone can receive and display service information previously designated for the marker, thereby providing advantages in which load of image processing and communication can be reduced and information about a traditional market, surrounding tourist attractions, and the like can be intuitively recognized and experienced. According to the present invention, the method for providing information about a traditional market by using augmented reality comprises the steps of: acquiring an actual image by photographing a print, on which a marker point, together with visual information about a traditional market and surrounding tourist attractions, is displayed, via a smartphone; recognizing the marker point from the actual image, retrieving service information designated for the marker point, and receiving the service information via the smartphone; and displaying the received service information by using the smartphone.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
