The present invention relates to a water disinfection method. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for disinfecting water by irradiating running water with ultraviolet light. To this end, ultraviolet light having a peak within the wavelength ranging from 255 to 285 nm is irradiated to running water, while average flow rate of water passing through an ultraviolet light-irradiated region is 1.7-12.6 cm/sec, whereas the dose of ultraviolet light irradiated to water passing through the ultraviolet light-irradiated region is 1.4-184 mJ/cm^2.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
