The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for receiving multimedia data of a surrounding vehicle on a location basis in a wireless communication system. More specifically, in a wireless communication system according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a method for receiving multimedia data of a surrounding vehicle based on a location basis includes: receiving a surrounding vehicle signal including vehicle identification information of each of at least one surrounding vehicles from at least one in-vehicle communication device, displaying each of the surrounding vehicles based on the received surrounding vehicle signal; and receiving and displaying additional information on the selected specific vehicle from a server when the communication device user selects a specific one among the displayed surrounding vehicles. The additional information may include at least one of vehicle information and location information of the specific vehicle, and multimedia data generated by the communication device in the selected specific vehicle.
