The present invention provides a construction machine and a method for preventing white plume of the construction machine, wherein the construction machine comprises: an engine; a coolant sensor measuring a temperature of cooling water flowing in the engine; an engine control unit controlling the engine; an operation unit generating a signal to operate RPM of the engine; and a vehicle control unit connected to the engine, the coolant sensor, the engine control unit, or the operation unit, and receiving a temperature of cooling water measured by the coolant sensor to transmit a signal to restrict RPM of the engine ordered by the operation unit within an engine RPM range at a predetermined cooling water temperature to the engine control unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
