3D SIGNALING REFERENCE LAYERS FOR 3D COLOR PREDICTION FOR COLOR GAMUT SCALABILITY

Techniques for performing limited three-dimensional (3D) color prediction on color space scalability in video coding are described. Color prediction schemes for color space scalability are used when the color space for the reference layer of the video data is different from the color space for the enhancement layer of the video data or when the bit depth of the reference layer is different from the bit depth of the enhancement layer May be used by video coders to generate inter-layer reference pictures. According to these techniques, the video coder may perform 3D color prediction by limited bit depths of the input and output color components of the 3D lookup table.
