The present invention relates to a method, system and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium for monitoring a biological activity of a user. According to an aspect of the present, there is provided a method for monitoring a biological activity of a user including the following steps: allowing at least one light generating unit disposed in a head region of the user, to generate near infrared light to at least one point of the head region of the user; allowing at least one first light detecting unit disposed in the head region of the user, to detect the near infrared light reflected or scattered from the head region of the user, and allowing at least one second light detecting unit disposed at a position at which an eye region of the user is faced, to detect the near infrared light passing through the eye region of the user; and determining a state of a brain activity or pulse of the user by referring to information about the near infrared light detected by the at least one first light detecting unit, and tracking the users gaze by referring to information about the near infrared light detected by the at least one second light detecting unit. According to the present invention, an effect of being able to grasp a users intention specifically and accurately can be achieved because various biological activities of the user can be monitored by using near infrared light.
