The present invention relates to a human-powered watercraft and a manually operating foldable driving apparatus mounted thereon for use. The human-powered watercraft uses a driving mechanism which generates a driving force by converting an arm movement moving in the front-and-rear direction into a reciprocation movement of a foil sinking under water moving in a horizontal direction so that a passenger can move while seeing the front, which is a traveling direction. The human-powered watercraft comprises: a hull which generates buoyancy by having a predetermined length and width so as to float a passenger on the water; one or more fixed units affixed to the hull in a place spaced apart at a predetermined distance to a left side or a right outer side from the position of the passenger; and a manually operating foldable driving apparatus coupled to each fixed unit and operated by a hand of the passenger. The manually operating foldable driving apparatus comprises a rotary unit, a handle crank, a vibration crank, and a flat plate-shaped foil, and uses a folding mechanism as follows. The handle crank and the vibration crank determining the general size of the driving apparatus are coupled to each other in a state that one folding hinge is placed therebetween. An angle between the two cranks is divided equally by a rotary central line to allow the two cranks to be approximated to each other. Therefore, since the size of the human-powered watercraft can be lessened by one operation, a user can simply carry the same and a storage space can be saved.
