The present invention relates to a gas separation membrane containing an amphiphilic copolymer and a preparation method thereof. A gas separation membrane is prepared, by including a copolymer referred to as Chemical Formula 1 below and by coating the copolymer on a support having a porous structure, the gas separation membrane according to the present invention can remarkably prevent plasticization while having permeability and selectivity for carbon dioxide.
