The present invention relates to a system for controlling positions of a cable and an electric parking brake (EPB) caliper. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the system for controlling positions of a cable and an EPB caliper comprises: a motor for driving an actuator used in coupling and releasing a parking brake of an EPB system; an electronic control module which controls the motor; and a battery for a vehicle which supplies power to the motor and the electronic control module; wherein the electronic control module includes a ripple measurement part which measures a ripple of the motor by receiving an output signal of the motor as an input and a current measurement part which measures changes in the actuating current of the motor.
