The present invention provides a method for manufacturing sauce using agar, manufacturing a gel type sauce using agar, so as to provide unique texture of agar and health enhancement due to rich dietary fiber of agar. According to the present invention, the method comprises the following steps of: manufacturing an agar solution containing 0.1 to 30 wt% of agar; manufacturing a base sauce solution containing salt and/or sugar as an effectively component, and heating the base sauce solution to sterilize the same; and mixing 1 to 30 wt% of the agar solution and 70 to 99 wt% of the base sauce solution to manufacture agar sauce.
