The present invention relates to a method for preparing potassium type artificial zeolite from coal fly ash using coal as a fuel. The method for preparing potassium type artificial zeolite comprises: a pre-treatment step of conducting acid washing treatment by adding aqueous hydrochloric acid (HCl) solution to coal fly ash to dissolve calcium component and harmful heavy metal component in the aqueous solution, dehydrating the aqueous solution, sending the dehydration filtrate to a waste treatment process, and treating the resultant product with dehydrated coal fly ash; a reaction step of injecting and mixing calcium salts of one material, two or more materials among potassium hydroxide (KOH), potassium carbonate (K_2CO_3), potassium sulfate (K_2SO_4), and potassium chloride (KCl) to a product prepared by adding at least one type of material among aluminum hydroxide (Al(OH)_3) · potassium aluminate (KAlO_2) or activated alumina powder to the dehydrated coal fly ash or coal fly ash which was not pre-treated, injecting water to the resultant product, and making the resultant product have a hydrothermal reaction to produce potassium type zeolite as a reaction product; and a commercialization step of preparing potassium type artificial zeolite by sequentially treating the potassium type artificial zeolite reaction product through a primary dehydration treatment, a washing treatment, and a secondary dehydration treatment to obtain dehydrated cake of the potassium type artificial zeolite reaction product, and injecting and mixing a binder to the dehydrated cake of the potassium type artificial zeolite reaction product and then forming the resultant product into spherical form or a pellet form, or preparing the potassium type artificial zeolite reaction product frozen in a powder state through a drying process.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
