Disclosed are a system and method for concealing reduction in a bandwidth of Voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP) call voice. The method for concealing reduction in a bandwidth of VoIP call voice, which is performed by using a computer, may comprise the steps of: controlling, by a reception-side electronic device, a bit rate for a transmission-side electronic device in accordance with network congestion, detected based on packet data received from the transmission-side electronic device, during a session of a call between the transmission-side electronic device and the reception-side electronic device; determining, by the reception-side electronic device, whether to perform bandwidth extension based on a bit rate of the received packet data during the session of the call; and transmitting, by the reception-side electronic device, the controlled bit rate to the transmission-side electronic device.
