The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for calculating a work hazard based on work properties. The method for calculating a work hazard based on work properties comprises the followings steps of: a work properties-based work hazard calculation device extracting work properties information upon receiving a work order; selecting accident history data for a work type corresponding to the work properties information from accident history data by work types previously stored in a data base; estimating an impact of accident result for the work type corresponding to the work properties information; calling a failure function of a work equipment corresponding to the work properties information among at least one failure function for work equipment previously stored in the data base; and calculating a work hazard by reflecting, to the accident history data for the work type, the impact of accident result, the failure function of the work equipment and the work detail information of a worker included in the work properties information. According to the present invention, since it is possible to calculate the risk of accidents centered on workers, the risk of occurrence of accidents in a workplace can be more accurately calculated, and management of workers and prevention and monitoring of accidents are enabled in various aspects, based on the accident risk calculation centered on workers.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
