The present invention relates to a spatial light modulator capable of reducing an error in diffraction by using gap adjustment, and a digital holography using the spatial light modulator. The spatial light modulator of the present invention includes a first substrate and a second substrate facing each other and having a plurality of pixels, a first electrode provided on each pixel of the first substrate, a second electrode located on the inner surface of the second substrate so as to face the first electrode, a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, a third electrode and a fourth electrode located on the outer surface of the second substrate to be spaced apart from each other and correspond to each pixel; and a liquid crystal film layer including a nanoliquid crystal, on the outer surface of the second substrate.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
