Organic Chemical Sensor With Microporous organosilicate material

A multilayer optical sensor film is disclosed. The sensor film comprises a first reflective layer, a detection layer on the reflective layer, and optionally a second reflective layer on the detection layer. The detection layer comprises an analyte-sensitive organosilicate composition that is hydrophobic, amorphous, and substantially microporous. The analyte-sensitive organosilicate compositions provide optical changes in the film upon exposure of the analyte.
