The present invention provides a smart mailbox equipped with a motion sensor. The present invention includes: an operating part opening or closing an electronic door lock through a smartphone NFC chip and RF tag method; an MDIC control part transmitting information about the arrival of a mail of the mailbox to IMIG; an IMIG control part receiving a mailbox state from MDIC and then providing the information to a corresponding resident; and a power supply part supplying power to the operating part. As such, when a mail is completely inserted into the smart mailbox, the motion sensor is operated to automatically transmit information about whether the mail arrived or not from the MDIC to the IMIG. The IMIG controller transmits a mail arrival notification service through a mail management application for the resident by using the WI-FI communication of the resident, and thus the smart mailbox is opened or closed by using an NFC tag method of the smartphone as a personalized authentication method in order to enable the resident to receive the mail safely against robbery or loss as well as receiving even a registered mail by using a registered mail management application in an unmanned state.
