The present invention relates to a sustained-release biological agent for controlling plant diseases having an excellent controlling effect. In most cases, when pre-existing liquid fertilizers are used by being sprayed directly on grass and crops, the disease-controlling component thereof works transiently on the plant and soil, thus achieving only 1/2-1/3 of the potential effect, while the other 1/2-1/3 of the disease-controlling component is degraded. According to the present invention, the sustained-release biological agent serves to address the above problem, and can maintain the disease-controlling effect of microorganism fermented liquid over a long period of time while releasing the same slowly. Further, as the carrier itself gradually degrades, a small quantity of elements constituting eluted material may serve as nutritive components, allowing the nutritive component of the microorganism fermented liquid to benefit the targeted plant. The sustained-release biological agent is prepared by impregnating a carrier material, selected among diatomaceous earth, rice bran, wheat bran and clay minerals, with a microorganism fermented liquid which is fermented to reach the pH range of 3.0-4.0.
