Provided are an optical fiber which can use a core and a cladding layer of the optical fiber as transmission areas of an optical signal and a high-output light source, respectively, an optical fiber coupler, and a method for transferring an optical signal and optical energy using the optical fiber. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the optical fiber comprises: a core area; and a first cladding area surrounding the core area, and transferring optical energy.
