The present invention relates to a mixed voltage neutral point clamped (MNPC) type multi-level inverter comprising: a multi-level power source unit which is connected to one or more voltage sources; a first switching unit which forms an input node among the one or more voltage sources, has first and second lines which are branched from the input node and connected to semiconductor switches, respectively, and converts output voltage of the power source unit; and a second switching unit which prevents short circuits of the first switching unit and the power source unit when output voltage is converted by switching of the semiconductor switches as output nodes are formed on output terminals of the first and second lines, respectively, and a first output line and a second output line are branched to make output current in a forward direction and output current in a reverse direction have different routes. The multi-level inverter having a configuration of the circuit of the present invention can be driven without dead time.
