The present invention relates to a method of producing a medical material for replacing lost portions of hard tissue, and to a medical material produced through the same and, more specifically, provides a medical material by pressure forming a bioactive glass powder, conducting a first heat treatment at a relatively low temperature lower than the glass transition temperature of the bioactive glass, processing into a desired shape, and conducting a second heat treatment at a temperature higher than the glass transition temperature of the bioactive glass, in order to overcome the drawback of low compression strength of hydroxyapatite, which is used as an existing hard tissue replacement material, while enabling custom production of a desired shape which fits the shape of a lost portion of hard tissue in vivo, minimizing thermal shock, and being able to exhibit bone fusion properties as well.
