The present invention relates to a method for installing an offshore topside (20) by using an installation vessel comprising the following steps: (a) aligning the installation vessel (30) on which the topside (20) is mounted on an upper side of a jacket (10); (b) placing the topside (20) on the jacket (10) after a leg (35) of the installation vessel (30) is placed down on a sea bottom (SB); and (c) aligning and fixating the topside (20) to the jacket (10) and moving the installation vessel (30). Accordingly, economic efficiency is increased by excluding an additional installation vessel, a mooring system, a weight absorption member and so on. Moreover, a work process for mounting the topside can be precisely controlled as a relative motion generated by weight of the environment does not need to be considered.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
