摘要
Very low dose x-ray or gamma ray imaging is based on rapid electronic control of the output of a laser compton x-ray or gamma ray source (LCXS, LCGS). The x-ray or gamma ray shadow graph forms one (or many) pixels at a time by monitoring the LCXS or LCGS beam energy required at each pixel of the object to reach the threshold level for detection in the detector. In one embodiment, once the detection threshold is reached, an electrical or optical signal is sent to the LCXS or LCGS so that rapid optical switching can bypass the laser pulse used to generate the compton photons in space or in time do. In this way, the object is no longer exposed to the compton ray or gamma ray until the laser compton beam or object is moved, so that the new pixel position is illuminated.
