Provided are a temperature monitoring method and a system thereof for estimating the spatial distribution of a hot zone. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for installing a temperature sensor calculates positions for installing temperature sensors, collects temperature data from the temperature sensors installed in the calculated positions, and calculates positions to additionally install the temperature sensors by reference to the collected temperature data. Thereby, the present invention can install the temperature sensors in a data center by considering the distribution of the hot zone, thereby being capable of constructing the temperature monitoring system within the data center by using the minimum temperature sensor.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
