The present invention provides a food composition and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing, alleviating, or treating climacteric or menopausal symptoms, comprising Sparassis crispa and lactic acid bacteria as active ingredients. The composition of the present invention suppresses a skin temperature increase, an increase of body weight and visceral fat, and a bone density decrease; and increases energy consumption. Therefore, the composition of the present invention can effectively prevent, alleviate, and treat various symptoms from climacterium or menopause.
