The present invention relates to a device and a method for preventing malfunction of a protection relay. The device for preventing malfunction of the protection relay comprises: an image voltage sensing unit which senses the generation of an image voltage from a bus line of a transformer; a control signal generating unit which generates a control signal for blocking the input line of an automatic transfer switch when the generation of the image voltage is sensed; and a notification generation unit which generates notification when the generation of the image voltage is sensed.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
