Disclosed are a method and a system for determining hot topics of a social network with consideration of user′s influence and time change. The method for determining the hot topics of the social network includes: a step of extracting words based on a change in frequency of the words due to a change in a time slot of multiple words included in multiple social network contents; a step of determining an influence index of a user who uploaded the social network contents containing the extracted words and hot topic indexes of each time slot of the words extracted based on the frequency in each time slot of the extracted words; a step of determining a hot topic index change ratio of the extracted words with consideration of the changes in each time slot of the hot topic indexes; and a step of determining the selection of the word extracted based on the hot topic index change ratio as the hot topics.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
