The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for extracting activity information based on big data mining. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for extracting activity information comprises: an extraction unit for extracting first time information and a first trip purpose corresponding to the first time information from trip data based on a response of an examinee on a survey question; and a measurement unit for measuring activity information in a time zone corresponding to second time information by considering the extracted first trip purpose.
