The present invention relates to a system to estimate an amount of snowfall and a method thereof and, more specifically, relates to a system to estimate an amount of snowfall from ocean radar image data; and a method thereof. The present invention provides a system to estimate the amount of snowfall using ocean radar and the method thereof, capable of reliably estimating the amount of snowfall by applying ocean radar image data to a conversion function between an ocean radar image and a weather center radar image.
