The present invention provides a method for preventing unauthorized use of a free subway concession ticket. According to the present invention, a device for preventing unauthorized use of a free subway concession ticket includes: a camera (100) which records a digital image of an unauthorized target going in and out of a subway ticket gate; an unauthorized target recognition device (200) connected to the camera (100); an opening and closing device (300) which opens and closes the subway ticket gate in accordance with the recognition result from the unauthorized target recognition device (200); and a subway ticket reader (400) which is installed on the subway ticket gate and scans the unauthorized subway ticket including a photograph of the passenger. The unauthorized target recognition device (200) includes: a facial recognition module (210) for recognizing the face of the passenger from the digital image; a face comparison module which compares the photograph of the passenger scanned from the subway ticket reader (400) and the facial data recognized by the facial recognition module (210); and a control module (230) controlling the opening and closing device (300).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
