The article has a container for holding a heat storage medium. The fluid is routed through the container and to a conduit that is routed through the heat generating system. The initiator is operatively connected to the container. The heat storage medium is responsive to the generation of a signal from the initiator. When the heat generating system is in operation, the fluid is moved through the conduit such that, when the heat generating system operates, the heat generated as a by-product is carried to the fluid, passed through the conduit through the container, and transferred to the heat storage medium. When it is desirable to provide heat to the heat generating system, the initiator is operated to expose the heat storing medium to a signal that triggers the release of heat from the heat storing medium that is delivered to the heat generating system through the fluid.
